Terms & Conditions

By clicking on the ‘Submit’ button at the end of the order process, you are consenting to be bound to, agree to, and understand About Giving’s (www.aboutgiving.co.nz) Terms and Conditions as stated below.

  1. Products

1.1 All products as depicted on this website (as may be varied due to seasonality and availability) are available for Nationwide delivery.

1.2 All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to substitute with a product of equivalent value and quality without notice.

1.3 In the event that we are unable to supply all or part of your order (the product or any substitute product to you at all), we shall notify you as soon as possible and reimburse your payment in full no later than 30 days after the intended delivery date.

  1. Pricing

2.1 All prices quoted on our website are in New Zealand dollars (NZD).

2.2 Prices include GST.

2.3 We reserve the right to change without notice, the price, or prices of any, or all products, including delivery, listed on About Giving’s website.

  1. Orders / Payment

3.1 During the order process, you will be required to provide us with your complete personal details, together with those of the intended recipient and all necessary payment details.

3.2 If the customer opts to pay via PayPal, purchases on About Giving’s website will be redirected to PayPal for the electronic transaction.

3.3 Submitting your order is subject to our acceptance of this offer. We will send an email confirmation of your order details to advise that we are processing your order via the email address you provide. We will not consider ourselves bound by a contract with you until we have issued this email confirmation.

  1. Delivery

4.1 Your intended delivery date will be confirmed in your email order confirmation. We process orders received on Sundays or Public Holidays the next working day. Delivery is not available on weekends or public holidays.

4.2 Orders will not be dispatched until full payment is received.

4.3 To avoid problems or delays with delivery, please ensure that you have included the full address details and telephone number of the intended recipient. Also, please include your telephone number and e-mail address so that we can notify you in the event that any delivery problems are encountered.

4.4 We use a third party delivery service for our orders. About Giving shall not be in any way responsible for any losses, damages, costs or other consequences (direct or indirect) arising from such delay or non-delivery through a third party.

4.5 Please note that About Giving is only responsible for delivering to the address you provide. Where the goods have been correctly delivered, we cannot accept responsibility if the intended recipient has moved, or lives elsewhere, or if an incorrect address was provided. 

4.6 We offer free delivery nationwide. We dispatch our gifts Monday - Friday with a 1-2 day delivery time. Rural deliveries - please allow for 4 working days delivery time. Whilst we do our best to deliver on your preferred delivery date, we cannot guarantee the date.  

4.7 Our deliveries are a free, standard service with authority to leave (no signature required). We cannot deliver to PO Boxes.

4.8 You will receive an email from New Zealand Couriers once your gift has been collected from our warehouse. This email contains your tracking number. If you have any issues with delivery - please use this tracking when lodging a query with NZC. If you don't receive any tracking - this may be because we are using a local, same-day courier service. Please email us if you have any questions on your order. 

4.9 In the instance of there being difficulties in delivering your order to the intended recipient, we reserve the right to contact the recipient using the contact details you provide at the time of placing your order.


  1. Cancellation and Refund Policy

5.1 Orders may be amended or canceled up to 3 working days before the intended delivery date. To amend or cancel your order, please contact About Giving from 8:30am – 4pm Monday to Friday using the contact details set out on our Contact page.

5.2 Orders may not be canceled on or after the requested order delivery date.

5.3 At About Giving, we strive to meet your expectations in every way. If, for any reason, you are not satisfied with your order, please email us mail@aboutgiving.co.nz or phone 0800 359 356 within 7 days of delivery for a full refund, replacement or credit. We will respond within two working days with a solution. Unfortunately we are unable to refund for ‘change-of-mind’ purchases, due to the perishable nature of our goods.

  1. General

6.1 We reserve the right to supplement and amend the Terms and Conditions on which you are permitted access to About Giving’s website and/or About Giving’s delivery service. We will post any changes on the website and it is your responsibility as a customer to review the Terms and Conditions on each occasion you access About Giving’s website. Changes will be made effective immediately, after the posting of any such change. All subsequent dealings between you and us shall be on the new terms and conditions.

6.2 Additionally, we reserve the right to suspend, restrict or terminate access to About Giving’s website at any time.

6.3 We shall only use personal data received from you for the purpose of fulfilling our obligations under these Terms and Conditions and as stated in our Privacy Policy.

6.4 Whilst we agree to use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that About Giving’s website is fully operational and error-free we cannot guarantee this and, therefore, accept no responsibility for any defects and/or interruption of About Giving’s website and shall be released from our obligations under these Terms and Conditions in the event of any cause beyond our reasonable control which renders the provision of About Giving’s website impossible or impractical.
